Social and Natural Sciences","bibliographic_titleLang":"en"}]}]},"item_10002_description_5":{"attribute_name":"抄録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"This paper examines the importance of R&D investment in developing/building the capacity to absorb the FDI spillovers, based on the results of estimating the FDI spillovers using the empirical model that considers the capacity of local firms to absorb them. The results of an examination using firm-level panel data(between 2017 and 2019) on Thailand's export manufacturing sector, which includes many local firms linked to the global supply chains of MNEs, confirm that spillovers are greater for firms with high levels of absorptive capacity. In order to strengthen linkages with MNEs and expand production and sales opportunities, local firms need to invest in R&D either independently or jointly, and accumulate human capital.\n    This paper also discusses the technological opportunities that stimulate investment in R&D, and by conducting a survey(2019) to understand the channels(routes) for obtaining technological information and the importance of each source, we were able to grasp the information flow that leads to FDI spillovers and innovation.
