| 内容記述 | This research note examined challenges related to the digitalization of infant health checkup data collected by municipalities. The subjects were 734 children born in City A, Ibaraki Prefecture, between 2016 and 2017. Among them, 493 children who participated in all five health checkups provided by the city and whose data were valid were included in the analysis. During the process of digitizing paper-based questionnaires, issues were identified, such as missing data caused by the layout and methods of completion, as well as the presence of non-standardized, municipality-specific items. The findings suggest that simply enabling digital input is insufficient for the effective research use of infant health checkup data. Standardization of checkup timing and questionnaire items is essential, along with a system that allows the flexible addition of items. If nationwide digitalization is achieved in the future, large-scale cohort studies of Japanese infants will become feasible, contributing significantly to the advancement of maternal and child health research. | |||||||||||||||||
