Methods:Mothers (N=167) completed the questionnaire for maternal Quality of Life(QoL)and their present child-rearing situation.In addition,the questionnair easked them to describe their thoughts about the new system.Results:Most mothers take care of their babies and young children all day,by themselves.They do not readily leave their children with anyone else.Almost 100% of mothers do not rely on their neighbors at all.Therefore,they do not have time for themselves.Moreover 54.4% of them do not think that the“family-styleday-careservices”and“home-visitchildcareservices”in the new system will become popular in Japan. Conclusions:Mothers are still considerabl yinfluenced by th eview that there is a gender division of labor.Most of them do not accept contemporary ideas about the“socialization”of childrearing.Mothers take fullresponsibility for child-rearing,and regard it as their burden alone.The“Comprehensive Support System for Children and Child-Rearing”still needs to become accepted in Japanese society.Once it is common practice to use these various services,mothers will recognize the need to socialize child-rearing.}, pages = {123--135}, title = {「社会全体で子育て」は可能なのだろうか─母親の意識から─}, volume = {49}, year = {2015}, yomi = {ナカジマ, ミナコ and アキバ, ミナコ and イイダ, ユカリ and カナザワ, ユウ} }
