The crops commonly planted by students were planned as follows: (1) as much as possible, crops were grown within the farm’s limited area and the class term; (2) different breeding patterns, i.e., sexual or asexual reproduction, were practiced; (3) many families, such as Solanaceae, Fabaceae, and Poaceae were included; and (4) plants had diverse traits (gene diversity).
