Social and natural sciences}, month = {}, note = {This brief article reviewed several topics related to features of classes and resource rooms for students with disabilities in Ibaraki prefecture. Results of Ministry of Education, Culture,Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) surveys assessing special needs education were analyzed. They reveal that students using resource rooms have increased in recent years in Japan. Nevertheless, few resource rooms exist in junior high schools of Ibaraki. The quantity and quality of special needs education of Ibaraki must be investigated.
