 note = {This brief article reviewed several topics related to features of classes and resource rooms for students with disabilities in Ibaraki prefecture. Results of Ministry of Education, Culture,Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) surveys assessing special needs education were analyzed. They reveal that students using resource rooms have increased in recent years in Japan. Nevertheless, few resource rooms exist in junior high schools of Ibaraki. The quantity and quality of special needs education of Ibaraki must be investigated. Especially, the present state of students with several development disabilities such as emotional disturbance, autism spectrum disorders, and specific learning disorders in junior high school must be specifically examined.},
