Although each of the five churches and their work was distinct, those churches were located close enough, so that the five missionaries regularly helped one another. Eventually, the missionaries referred to their collective efforts as “Kuji valley evangelism,” named after the Kuji river that ran nearby. Besides evangelism, the missionaries associated with Kuji valley evangelism engaged with such social endeavors as kindergartens, a Bible school, and health food productions and sales. The numerical result of their mission efforts was minimal, but such endeavors as food sales, originally begun as a means to self-support their mission work, were appreciated by Americans in Japan, as well as local Japanese people. We investigate the various efforts of Kuji valley evangelism through the notion of “holistic mission” to argue that their work, consisting of both evangelism and social responsibility, could be interpreted as an unintended forerunner of what came to be known as holistic mission.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"茨城キリスト教大学","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1342-6362","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"小幡, 幸和","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"オバタ, ユキカズ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"creatorName":"OBATA, Yukikazu","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"2145","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"熊崎, 伸一郎","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"クマザキ, シンイチロウ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"creatorName":"KUMAZAKI, Shinichiro","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"2146","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2023-01-20"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"1-01_Obata.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.1 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_11","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"1-01_Obata","url":"https://ic.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/937/files/1-01_Obata.pdf"},"version_id":"c85aa438-6e56-4a2c-ad9f-30331adf53e1"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"大正・昭和初期の茨城におけるホリスティックなキリスト教宣教 ―― 久慈ヴァレー・エヴァンジェリズムを中心に ――","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"大正・昭和初期の茨城におけるホリスティックなキリスト教宣教 ―― 久慈ヴァレー・エヴァンジェリズムを中心に ――","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"Kuji Valley Evangelism: The Emergence of Holistic Mission in Ibaraki, Japan during the Taisho and Early Showa Period","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"14","path":["148"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2023-01-20"},"publish_date":"2023-01-20","publish_status":"0","recid":"937","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["大正・昭和初期の茨城におけるホリスティックなキリスト教宣教 ―― 久慈ヴァレー・エヴァンジェリズムを中心に ――"],"weko_creator_id":"14","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-04-08T07:50:53.796538+00:00"}
