| 内容記述 | This study examined what work environment and childcare services mothers of children with disabilities consider are necessary for their employment. We conducted a secondary analysis of data from our previous questionnaire survey on 174 mothers of children with intellectual disabilities (Ejiri & Matsuzawa, 2019). Mothers’ responses to the above questions, which are open-ended statements, were analyzed. The results showed that the mothers desired shorter and more flexible working hours to balance childcare and paid work. They also wanted longer hours for after-school childcare services provided at welfare facilities. The results indicated that mothers of children with disabilities had difficulties in adjusting their hours to balance paid work and childcare. The issue of work hours and the hours of childcare services provided should be addressed to support the employment of mothers of children with disabilities. | |||||||||||||||||
