| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to suggest some implications for establishment of the status of Serviceology as an independent discipline through tracing the previous path of service research in Japanese academia since establishment of Society for Serviceology in 2012. To achieve the purpose, the author adopts the theory generating approach which Service-Dominant Logic drawn on Hunt’s (2002) view to develop the independent marketing theory. First, the author traces the previous paths of both service research for past 10 years and Service-Dominant Logic for past 20 years and summarizes some issues in the infancy of theory generating stages of Serviceology. Next, the author presents what is required of the discipline in the infancy of theory development drawn on Hunt’ (2002) theory generating procedure which was followed by Service-Dominant Logic, and then questions the current view of Serviceology. Finally, based on these questions, it concludes that it offers the suggestions what are required of the academia, researchers, and academic journals to establish the status of Serviceology as an independent Discipline. | |||||||||||
