| 内容記述 | The course Work Education is a core subject in the Department of Elementary Education at Ibaraki Christian University, established approximately 40 years ago. In this course, students engage in plant cultivation to gain an ecological viewpoint on nature and acquire basic knowledge and skills related to science and life studies in the teacher training course. In addition, the course aids in developing their sense of humanity. While the basic objectives of the course have not changed since it was first developed, the content of the activities and their position as a teaching subject have changed along with changes in the curriculum of the department and in society. In this study, the history of work education is divided into four periods, with the characteristics of each period being outlined, along with the transition in the curriculum of the department. Finally, current practices of work education are presented, and a comparison is drawn between the similarities and differences across other periods to consider the future prospects of work education. | |||||||||||||||||
