In this study, we investigated consciousness about learning to sew, and the practice of sewing in daily life among university students who had attended homemaking classes in elementary school, junior high school, and high school. It was recognized that the degree to which the students liked sewing classes was related to their positive feelings about sewing; the result proved that their learning experiences led to experiences of success and of being moved.The subjects who had low self-efficacy and disliked the study of sewing had a strong tendency to think that they were bad at sewing,and it is presumed that they need special consideration such as being given easy assignments.Teachers should examine and select study contents and assignments according to the students' condition,so that they can obtain inner contentment and a feeling of accomplishment. |
