Some argue that sentiment is not related to learning scientific knowledge and can ven interfere, while others argue that learning scientific knowledge promotes sentiment. his research examines how teachers and students perceive the relationship between sentiment and scientific knowledge. An attitude survey was conducted asking questions including (1) the relationship between sentiment and scientific knowledge and (2) the direction of the relationship. That is, does sentiment positively effect scientific nowledge or is it the opposite? The results were as follows:(1) About 70 % of the respondents believe that learning scientific knowledge is not related to sentiment.(2) About 20 % of the respondents believe that learning scientific knowledge interferes with sentiment.(3) About 80 % of the respondents believe that sentiment promotes learning scientific knowledge.(4) About 70 % of the respondents believe that learning scientific knowledge promotes sentiment. |
