This study investigates the water quality of the Miyata and Ayu rivers with closed mines in their upriver areas. The Hitachi mine was located in the upper Miyata river area and the Suwa mine in the upper Ayu river area.The results are summarized as follows;1. In the Miyata River, the Cu and Zn content are 0.008 to 0.165mg/l and 0.020 to 0.182mg/l. The highest values are found at the Hashishita Bridge. The values of the research points are 0.008 to 0.051mg/l and 0.020 to 0.094mg/l at the Oushi Bridge; 0.044 to 0.165mg/l and 0.135 to 0.182mg/l at the Hashisita Bridge; 0.030 to 0.170mg/l and 0.110 to 0.171mg/l at the Hitachi Bridge; and 0.016 to 0.118mg/l and 0.020 to 0.157mg/l at the Nagisa Bridge.2. In the Ayu river, the Cu and Zn content show low values.3. In the Miyata and Ayu rivers, the Cd and Pb contents show low values.4. In the Miyata and Ayu rivers, the electric conductivity is between 230 to 2900μs/cm and 135 to 390μs/cm. The highest value is found at the Hashishita Bridge. |
