内容記述 | In an age of globalization, countries around the world are introducing English at younger ages in national curricula. This has created a need to find ways of teaching that compliment how young learners acquire language. In this article, the author describes some of the key characteristics of young learners and explains how using stories in language instruction caters to those specific characteristics. By way of illustration, the author provides details of how one particular English program for young learners in Japan has used storytelling as the foundation for the English syllbus. | |||||||||
