| 内容記述 | Toshimichi Okubo made efforts to merge Ryukyu after the Sino-Japanese Negotiations, and Gustave Émile Boissonade, a legal adviser, submitted a proposal for the Ryukyu disposition to Okubo after returning to Japan after the negotiations with the Shino. Determined. Negotiations with the Ryukyu Domain of Okubo, who became the Interior Sir, are to express the intention of the King of Ryukyu to be voluntarily annexed to Japan. Until the year, I thought that I would move to the era of“ Tolerance”, from 1875 to the era of“ Preaching”, and if that didn’t work, to the era of“ Responsibility”. Another important is that after the Ryukyu Domain is annexed, Ryukyu will be treated as a “prefecture”, not as a client state, but in the same line as other Domains. However, there was no agreement within the Meiji government on the “principle of prefectural unity”(Fuken-icchi no Sei). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had a strong idea of positioning Okinawa as Client state. The Ryukyu feudal lord refused the annexation by the Japanese government and repeated resistance to the Japanese government. He redeemed the crime. At the request of China, Grand proposed the division of Ryukyu, but the Shino rejected the proposal, and for that reason Ryukyu [Okinawa] was virtually decided to belong to Japan. |
