We conducted a questionnaire survey on 631 female high school students to verify their learning experience on clothing during their homemaking classes, their actual purchase behavior of clothes, their consciousness towards clothing coordination, and their degree of self-acceptance. By verifying the characteristics of consciousness and behavior of the students towards clothing, we aimed to identify the direction and points to consider in our future homemaking classes when dealing with the social function of the clothes, namely the role of the clothes and hints for elaborating it in expressing oneself. It was verified from the survey that female high school students were: coordinating their daily wears considering clothes not only for physical protection/hygiene function but also for its social function; dissatisfied with their own ability, appearance, & human |
